Get It For Your Mama

IMG_4421.jpeg

The day has come where I shower my mom in love and adoration, but just for 24 hours. Jk. I literally climb up my mothers ass on a daily basis telling her how obsessed I am with her and Mother’s Day is obviously no exception. For this weeks blog post, I thought I’d switch it up and bring on a special guest contributor. You guessed it, MY MOM. I figured it would be better to hear what moms want for mothers day from an actual mom. She’s sharing her top gifts I’ve given her over the years that hopefully your moms will love too! So read along for gift giving recs for hard core mothers from a hard core mother!

Cuyana Bag

“This is one of the best and most functional handbags I have ever owned.  It satisfies my rigorous requirements for an outside pocket for my phone, enough room for the usual stuff plus my two hard-sided eyeglass cases, and a single shoulder strap wide enough to be comfortable and not slide off the shoulder.  It has a magnet snap closure, but the simple yet elegant design makes the opening accessible without being susceptible to spilling.  I chose the pebbled leather, and it looks like the day I got it, after daily use for months.”

Hario Iced Tea Bottle

“This simple device was a game-changer for me.  I used to make iced tea the old-fashioned way by putting tea bags into a tempered glass pitcher with boiling water.  I would make enough for about 6 large glasses at a time, but unless I was sharing it with others, it would sometimes get cloudy before I finished the whole pitcher.  This cold-brew bottle allows me to make about 2 ½  glasses at a time, so it is always fresh.  I also mix up flavored, loose and bagged teas in different combinations for variety.  It is slender so it doesn’t take up an unreasonable amount of space in the refrigerator, and is easy to clean.”

Milk Frother

“The milk frother is a luxurious addition to the Nespresso coffee experience. It’s the foam-on -foam, making a trip to your local coffee shop kind good. A surprise discovery is that when using the Chobani vanilla creamer, it creates a marshmallow-like fluff to top on my hot chai”.

Barefoot Dreams Robe

“The coziest robe I have ever owned, and it was a gift I had no idea I wanted until I received it.  It is large and fluffy, but not itchy or stifling.  I can snug up on the sofa with the robe as my personal throw blanket, and not complain about the chill in the room.  However, keep in mind that this is not the robe you wear to showcase your svelte figure.” *side note: at the time I am posting this, the robe is 60% off!!!*

1000 Piece Puzzle

“A fun, meditative activity that two or three people can do together without electronics.   Milo our cat enjoys walking, sleeping, and occasionally yakking on the work-in-progress, so we have had to concoct protective coverings, but there is great satisfaction in rubbing your hands across the bumpy surface of the completed picture (having lost nary a piece).”

Rothy’s Work Tote

“Mine is navy with a tan stripe, which I worried might show dirt, but I have carried in to and from work every day, and only had to use a damp cloth a few times to spot clean it.  (It is entirely machine washable in the bag they provide).  It is sturdy, roomy and has secure handles.  There is a small zippered pocket inside for small items, and there is a top zipper for safety.”

So as you can tell, I am the worlds best daughter and my mother is lucky to have me. But I am just as lucky to have her. I hope you all show your moms some extra love this Mother’s Day because moms are the best.
