Hi……Long time no talk!
2022 was a pretty crazy year for me. I began working my dream job with my dream company at the beginning of the year and while I love what I do, it is pretty creatively taxing. And with that, I found myself very unmotivated to keep up with the blog throughout the year.
But with the new year and finding my footing at my new job, I am feeling refreshed and excited to pick up where we left off! I have really missed sharing my favorite finds, yummy recipes, and good reads with you all! I have made it a goal to post at least two blog posts a month and I need y’all to hold me to it.
Without further ado, here are my top skincare, haircare, beauty and lifestyle favorites from 2022!
SKINCARE
This cleanser really shocked me. It officially launched in the early fall but I have been using it since the summer and I have not felt the need to stray since! It is kind of a gel, cream texture but with a little bit of exfoliating rice powder. It kind of feels like super fine, silky sand and it is amazing for daily exfoliating. I have seen a massive difference in the texture and major redness reduction since using this!
Y’all already know… This is a lifetime favorite of mine. I will literally use this as long as they sell it. If you have sensitive and reactive skin, YOU NEED THIS IN YOUR LIFE!
Malin and Goetz Advanced Renewal Moisturizer
Up until this last year, I was really only using facial oils as my moisturizer. Since working for a skincare brand, I learned that most facial oils are designed to lock in moisture but not necessarily hydrate the skin deeply. So I went on the hunt for a moisturizer to amplify my skins moisture and repair my skins barrier. I really struggled to find a moisturizer that was hydrating, non-comedogenic and gentle until I found this one from Malin and Goetz. It is thin but super hydrating, does not irritate my sensitive skin and non pore clogging.
Furtuna Skin Due Alberi Bi-phase Moisturizing Oil
I have been getting ads for this facial oil for literally years but never pulled the trigger because of its hefty price tag. But when I saw Furtuna was offering 30% off I had to try it. This stuff is LUXE. Due to its formulation I can use it in leu of a moisturizer or top off my Malin and Goetz moisturizer for extra hydration. I will say, I don’t see myself ever paying full price for this tiny bottle, but when it goes on sale again, I will have to stock up!
HAIRCARE
Crown Affair Leave-In Conditioner
I am absolutely obsessed with all things Crown Affair and this leave-in conditioner is no exception. It leaves my hair feeling soft, shiny and totally frizz free.
This a large claim but I feel confident saying this is hands down the best shampoo and conditioner I have ever used. I have repurchased this duo probably 4 times now. I use both (almost) daily and my hair and scalp has never been happier. I also find that this, paired with my Crown Affair products, makes my hair air dry perfectly!
If you have ever tried Crown Affair products, you’d know that the scent is totally captivating. So when they launched their own signature scent I immediately snagged it. It also pairs beautifully with one of my next favorites!
Not all hair clips are created equally. I find that the claw clips from the drugstore do not grip my hair. My hair ends up slipping and sliding and falling out of the clips. Humble brag but my hair has always been very shiny. Paired with its stunning shine, it is also very slippery and low key hard to wrangle. The Emi Jay clips are tight and secure on my hair without tugging and pulling. Plus they are super cute. Honorable mention for the Crown Affair Clips. Those are bomb too!

Tata Harper Creme Blush in Naughty
Do not sleep on the Tata Harper Blushes. I feel like I never hear people rave about them but they are 100% rave worthy. I love applying these with the Green Beauty Brush for a totally seamless application. All of the shades are stunning but my personal favorite is surprisingly Naughty! Naughty is Tata’s number one favorite and after hearing her rave about it for long enough, I decided to give it a go and FELL IN LOVE. It is the perfect pinched cherry flush on the cheeks.
This is without a doubt my desert island base product. It is luminous and dewy and the perfect about of coverage for me. It evens out my skin tone without covering too too much. I use shade 060!
I was a ride of die brow gel girlie until I tried this pencil. I always thought pencils made my brows look too makeupy and fake. But this pencil allows me to fill in the sparse areas while keeping my brow hairs looking fluffy.
LIFESTYLE
I never shut up about this alarm clock. It is a crucial part of my morning AND night routine. I use the red light while I am reading and winding down and it immediately signals to my brain that it’s time to chill tf out. Mornings have been way easier since switching to hatch as well. Literally everyone needs a hatch. Once you go hatch, you don’t go back.
Behold, my signature scent. After nearly a year of trial and error, I figured it out. This scent was made for me. It is all the things I like in a scent. It’s fresh and clean but also warm and herbal. I LOVE putting this on and I think that is when you know you’ve found the one.
Kind of a random favorite, but if you love to cook, you know the difference a good olive oil makes. They’re bold but don’t taste too oily (if that makes sense). They taste fresher than other olive oils!
I cannot get enough of this candle. I have been repurchasing it for years and have no plans on stopping. If you are looking for a great year round, cozy scent, look no further!
