Unexpected Goat Cheese Board
Butter Boards are cool and all but have you tried a GOAT CHEESE BOARD?!
I made this thing of beauty this past Christmas and my family housed it. It was super easy to make, great for a large crowd and the combination I came up with was unexpected but paired wonderfully together.
Keep reading to see how you can recreate this board yourself for your next get together!
Here Is What You’ll Need:
A board (duh)
Large log of goat cheese
Fresh Dill
Fresh Chives
Honeycomb (trust me this is necessary)
Chopped pecans (almonds would work as well)
Edible Flowers (I got mine from Ghia)
Maldon salt
Fresh cracked black pepper
Allow your log of goat cheese to sit at room temperature for a bit so it softens and is easier to smear on your board
Once your goat cheese is evenly distributed on your board, sprinkle on your fresh herbs.
Next, add small chunks of fresh honeycomb. You can of course replace this with regular honey, but I think the honeycomb crystals added a really nice texture.
Sprinkle on your chopped nuts. I went with Pecans but any nut would work!
Finally add your edible flowers and top with chunky sea salt and fresh cracked pepper.
Enjoy
