Homebody Travel Guide: Hamptons Edition

I am an East Coast girlie through and through so I love visiting cool coastal towns up and down the Atlantic and the next stop on my bucket list was The Hamptons. My mom and I recently took a girls trip to Amagansett, NY to meet up with family and see the sights and I can confirm that it does live up to the hype. We bopped around East Hampton, Montauk and Sag Harbor but Amagansett was by far my favorite area! Keep reading for my favorite spots we hit while on our quick jaunt to The Hamptons!

Lunch Lobster Roll

We obviously had to hit up the iconic Hamptons haunt, Lunch, for a classic lobster roll. If you are a fan of The Affair, you will totally recognize this place. It is apparently a major hot spot for locals and visitors. The service was great and the seafood was soooooo fresh.

Carissa’s Bakery

This croissant was actually life changing. It was literally so good that I don’t think I can look at a croissant at my local bakery the same. Every croissant from now on will be compared to the Carissa’s croissant. Please, if you ever go to Amagansett, get the pistachio and chocolate croissant and thank me later.

Journey East Hampton

We opted to stay at Journey East Hampton. We figured it was a central location so that everything we wanted to see would be easy to drive to and we were right. This was absolutely ideal for bopping around the different towns. It is a newer hotel so it was very affordable (for The Hamptons) and the room was spacious and super clean.

Il Buco al Mare

I LOVE to cook. I am also a cocky bitch so when I go out to eat, I am often disappointed with the food. This is one of the only times I have been absolutely blown away by a meal from a restaurant. The menu felt like it was made for me. It was very seafood heavy (I am mainly plant-based but love to treat myself with seafood) and all of the menu items were simple but with a fresh twist. We opted to get several small plates to share and the waiter actually said that our order was the best combination he has ever seen ,but I am sure he says that to all the girls. The service was amazing and the ambiance felt very cozy and relaxed.

They also have a little shop next door called Il Buco Vita where you can purchase their AMAZING tinned fish (we snagged some to try and recreate a dish) and fresh bread. They also had a stunning selection of art and home goods. It was one of my favorite local shops from the entire trip!

Lazypoint

Speaking of favorite local shops, Lazypoint was a standout! It doesn’t have a site or an Instagram (which I weirdly love) but is located on Main Street in Amagansett if want to check it out for yourself! It has a variety of contemporary designers and vintage pieces along with minimal ceramic home goods. The owner of the shop was beyond kind and super passionate about her shop. She had the most INCREDIBLE selection of jewelry. I almost treated myself to a stunning pair of emerald hoops but chickened out and now I kinda regret leaving them behind!

Love Adorned

Amagansett has a cute little square with some well known Shops such as Jenni Kayne and Ulla Johnson and wedged in there was this adorable shop called Love Adorned. It smelled sooo good partially thanks to this wall of fried flowers, but also due to their huge selection of home fragrances (stay tuned for my May Favorites so I can tell y’all about the best incense ever).
