Things That Give Me Serotonin: April Edition
April has come and gone and now it is officially Taurus szn!! I am a loud and proud Taurus so I plan on indulging in all of the Taurusy things in the month of May. But first things first, I need to share my favorite finds from the month of April!
Machete Hair Pin
No matter how much time and effort I put into my hair, I always end up throwing it back to get out of my face. I love a good claw clip but I recently picked up this hair pin to switch things up and I love it! It did take some practice but I finally figured out how to make it look super chic while still feeling secure. I also love that it doesn’t leave creases in my hair!
Tata Harper Body Stone
File this under the “Things That Are Totally Unnecessary But Feel Really Really Good” category. I use this jade body stone to work in my beloved Tata Harper Body Oil and it is soooooo relaxing. I like to really massage my shoulders after a long day hunched over my desk and it feels AMAZING!
The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah
If you are looking for a light, summer read…. keep it moving. I picked this up after reading The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah and LOVING IT. The Great Alone tells the story of a down and out family that moves to a remote island in Alaska to live a simpler, and more off-the-grid life. They quickly discover that they are in way over their heads and need to buckle down in order to prepare themselves for the harsh Alaskan winter.
Narcissus Flower Candle
I am shocked by how much I love this candle. I usually HATE floral scents but this one hits different. It is fresh and floral but also woody and leathery. All of the Flamingo Estate candles are 10/10 in my book!
Westman Atelier Brow Pencil
Once again, I am shocked by how much I love this product. I am usually a devoted brow gel kind of gal but this brow pencil from Westman Atelier is fab! It is super subtle so it allows me to gently fill in the sparse areas of my brows. I use the color bark and it is perfect for dark brown hair!
Cle CCC Cream
I have seen this CCC cream all over my TikTok so I finally caved and I am so glad I did. It is perfection! It comes out this funky greyish color, but as you blend it in, it perfectly matches your skin tone. It gives my skin a subtle hydrated glow and evens out my skin tone while allowing my freckles to show. It also has SPF 50!!
First Lady
Fun fact about me is that I am OBSESSED with Michelle Obama. So anything her name is attached to, I am in. First Lady follows three US Presidencies through the lens of the First Ladies, Michelle Obama, Betty Ford, and Elenor Roosevelt. It is amazing.
