My Ride Or Die Base Products

I love makeup but hate feeling like I have makeup on. So I am VERY picky about what I put on my face. Not only do the ingredients have to be safe and to my standards, but it has to feel lightweight and look as natural as possible. I asked you guys on Instagram what you wanted me to share on here and a lot of you asked about foundation, concealer, and overall base products. I don’t wear “foundation” to be honest. I have always been drawn to skin tints and tinted moisturizers. I like products that are fuss-free and that I can apply with my hands. Don’t get me wrong, there are times where my under eye bags are POPPIN and I have a gnarly zit that I don’t care to subject the rest of humanity to. So on those days, I keep my base light and spot-conceal. I find that on my dry skin, more coverage isn’t always a good thing and just emphasizes the dry patches around my nose and mouth. But I do have a tried and true lineup of base products that always makes me feel my best and I think you guys will love as well!

Saie Glowy Super Gel in Starglow: I am obsessed with this stuff. It is a super lightweight, watery formula that you can wear alone, under your makeup as a primer or over as a juicy highlight. I tend to either wear it alone and spot conceal any blemishes or over my makeup on my cheekbones as a super natural glowy highlight. Saie recently launched at my second home, Sephora!

Kosas Tinted Face Oil in shade Five: This is the most “foundation” like product I own. It definitely supplies the most coverage out of all the products in my collection but is still super lightweight and build-able. Don’t be put off by the “oil” in the name. It actually has a slippery, almost silky texture, rather than oily.

Merit Minimalist Complexion Stick in shade Sand: Merit is a brand new cosmetic company but it has quickly become one of my favorites. Everything about them speaks to me. The branding, the packaging, the ease of use, the back story, the inclusivity, the ingredients, I can go on and on. I love how lightweight and blend-able this stick is and you can feel good wearing it, knowing it is jam-packed with skin loving, non-irritating ingredients. I have it in the shade Sand as a base and the shade Amber for warmth around the perimeters of my face. It is also build-able so if your’e looking for more coverage, simply add more product. Merit has also been added to the Clean at Sephora family.

Saie Slip Tint Dewy Tinted Moisturizer in shade Four: This is probably my most used base product simply because its all in one. It has some spf, some hydration, some dew, aka everything I need! It’s super lightweight and sheer so if you’re looking for coverage, keep it moving!

Kosas Revealer Super Creamy Concealer in shade Four: BEST CONCEALER I’VE EVER TRIED. So when it comes to concealer, I do want some coverage but it can’t be drying or cakey. This one is perfect. Like the name suggests, it’s super creamy and blend-able and a little goes a LONGGGGGG way. It has a banging shade range and it doesn’t get all dry and creasy on me like other concealers tend to do on my dry under-eyes.

RMS Tinted “Un”Powder in shade 2-3: I am one crusty bitch so I don’t find myself needing powder often. But when I do overdo it with the highlighters and dewy products and need to take it down a few notches this is what I reach for. It’s called the “Un” Powder because it never looks dry or powdery. It simply takes down the oily shine, and leaves you with a satin, natural finish. The only downside to this powder and RMS in general is that their shade ranges are pitiful…. hopefully they’ll get it together and create products that work for everyone with every skin tone.
