Face Tools That Actually Pack A Punch

It seems like all of a sudden everyone I know is heading to their friendly local cosmetic surgeon for a little needle work. While I wish I was ballsy enough to address some of my insecurities with the help of cosmetic interventions, I am a weenie and can barely handle a healthy dose of Advil let alone a needle to the mug. So I have turned to a more holistic approach, at home facial tools. I’ve found that some have immediate results while others need some time to put in the work. Here are my must-have facial tools for my fellow weenies and even the brave ones who just want to up their at-home spa night experience!

This thing is my pride and joy. If you know me personally, you’d know that I do not shut up about this tool. It is also the reason I can no longer label myself as “low-maintenance” but I’ll live. This is the LightStim Acne Wand and it has CHANGED MY…

This thing is my pride and joy. If you know me personally, you’d know that I do not shut up about this tool. It is also the reason I can no longer label myself as “low-maintenance” but I’ll live. This is the LightStim Acne Wand and it has CHANGED MY SKIN. I am very fortunate to have pretty clear/manageable skin but when I do break out, it’s those underground assholes that never come to the surface but swell up like a bitch. And before this wand, they would linger for, no joke, weeks. Since taking the plunge and purchasing this light therapy wand, I don’t get those blemishes nearly as often and when I do, they go away within 2-3 days. I will say, I think the reason it has been so successful for me is because I put in the work. I use it every night after washing my face and before applying product and I follow the instructions. It’s pricey so I got it during a Sephora sale but it’s 100% worth it IMO.

Do you need all three of these tools? No. Do I use them all on a regular basis? Yes but I am a psycho and love a good facial massage. I have the puffiest eyes known to man and tbh there is very little I can do about because it is genetic. No serious…

I have the puffiest eyes known to man and tbh there is very little I can do about because it is genetic. No seriously, my grandfather needed to have surgery on his eyes because they were so hooded it was dangerous when driving……so that’s something to look forward to!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So as a last ditch effort to de-puff my eyes and face, I tried facial massage tools a few years back and it has made a big impact. I keep my Herbivore Botanics Jade Roller in the freezer and use it on my face and under eyes in the mornings. I use my Nue Co. Gua Sha after applying my facial oil at night. (I’ve gotten some questions about why their Gua Sha drags across their face when doing their massage and you have to use some kind of oil in order for it to work correctly!) And lastly, I use the Mount Lai Jade Eye Tool after applying my eye cream to help it absorb more deeply as well as release any built-up tension in my temples after a long day. Not sure if I’d categorize this as a “facial tool” but it’s worth mentioning! I recently received these facial towels by a new company called Resore’. The concept behind them is super cool and innovative. They are designed with clear skin and anti-aging in mind and are made of anti-bacterial and eco-friendly fibers. While other towels harbor bacteria, the Resore’ towel is designed to kill acne-causing bacteria leaving you with clear, soft skin.
