Is it just me or did the month of September feel like 4 months combined? It just dragggggggggged out. Luckily it gave me time to try some new products and consume some premium content that I can now share with you! Keep reading for my favorite finds from the month of September!

Cadence Capsules

I ended up dog-sitting for friends and family almost every weekend this past month so I put my Cadence capsules to good use this month. They are great for travel and are a more eco-friendly alternative to purchasing single use plastic travel sizes. You can customize the caps with labels and icons and they’re magnetic so they don’t get loose all over your travel bags.

Maid

When I tell you I BINGED this show, I mean I BINGED IT. I finished the entire limited series in less than a day and I still can’t stop thinking about it and referencing it. It is based on the memoir of Stephanie Land, a young mother who after leaving an abusive relationship, finds a job cleaning houses to make ends meet and build a better future. It shines a harsh light on the pitfalls of the Welfare and Social Services programs that are in place to help cases like Land’s, but continually let her down.

Cuyana Earrings

Day to day, I wear my Mejuri Pave Hoops, but sometimes I want something a bit louder while still being timeless and minimal. I have been looking for a chunky pair of hoops that aren’t so cheap that they’ll irritate my ears, but also won’t break the bank since I am not planning on wearing them daily. The Cuyana Mini Hoops are the perfect solution! They’re chunky while still being lightweight and even though they are not solid 14k gold, they do not irritate my sensitive ears at all!

Make Pink Matter Lip Balm

I am a lip balm JUNKIE. I am applying all day long, I have tried countless brands and formulas and I can 100% say that this is the best lip balm I have ever tried. It is ultra hydrating without feeling thick and sticky, it smells good and is multifunctional. The only pitfall is that it is in a jar, so it’s not the best to use out and about. I use it alllllll day long when I am at home. If there is one thing you try from this month’s faves, let it be this lip balm and thank me later!

Mutha Deodorant

Coming at you with yet another clean deodorant rec! If there is one product in your daily routine where you should consider switching over to the clean side, it is your deodorant, especially for women. Our underarm glands are connected to the same glands in breast tissue, so using clean ingredients is super important for that area. This deodorant from Mutha is packed with skin-nourishing ingredients like chia seed oil and squalane, and uses arrowroot powder to help keep odor-causing bacteria at bay. It has a mellow Bergamot and Mint scent and on EXTRA sweaty days, I like to top it off with my Aesop spray deodorant.

Rock Paper Scissors by Alice Feeney

Did you know face blindness is a thing? Because I sure didn’t until this book. Rock Paper Scissors tells the story of a high-powered screen writer who suffers from face blindness. He has been struggling for years with a troubled marriage, so a romantic country side getaway is just the thing to get back on track, right?? WRONG. Shit goes off the rails quickly and SPOLIER ALERT: it gets spooky. I couldn’t read this at night lol.

Golde Coconut Collagen Boost

I have been looking for a plant based collagen powder for YEARS and I finally found my holy grail! I put the Golde Coconut Collagen Boost in my smoothies, oats, muffins, basically everywhere I can squeeze it in I do. It has a light coconut taste and best of all it is smooooooooth. Other plant-based powders I have tried are chalky and powdery and end up ruining your treat. Stay tuned for a BANGING smoothie recipe using this!

Shearling Birkenstocks

I have been on the waitlist for these shoes since last fall so when I saw that they were back, I snatched them right up. I am having a moment with all things shearling and these shoes are no exception. They have the classic comfort of a Birkenstock, with the trendy, cool factor of shearling. They were pretty stiff at first because of the slightly thicker sole, but they wore in super easily.

American Rust

If you loved Mare of Easttown, you’ll love American Rust. It gives off the same small town, gritty feel. It follows a PTSD-ridden police chief who moves from a big city to a small town and falls in love with a local seamstress. He ends up being called to the scene of a murder and the lead suspect is his girlfriend’s son. It gets all twisted. Highly recommend.
