For this week’s blog post, we’re going dumpster diving!! Kidding…. kind of. I’m taking you through my product empties that I’ve accumulated over the past few months. Having used them throughly, I have a full review of how they perform, and more importantly, if they’re #homebodyapproved and worthy of a repurchase.
Boy Smells Candle in Park Life
I have raved about this candle before so you already know, she’s #homebodyapproved! It’s a really amazing scent, I honestly wish they’d release this or something similar in their perfume line. It’s fresh and green thanks to the basil and fig while still feeling warm and inviting with notes of tonka bean and sandalwood. I have repurchased this 3 times now and have no plans on ever stopping.
Tower 28 SOS Facial Spray
You guys…. I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS. I have said it before, but this facial spray is my #1 skincare recommendation. It would truly work for everyone because it tackles so many skin concerns. I use this to target redness and irritation. I use it in both my morning and evening skincare routine and throughout the day when my skin is needing a refresh. I have repurchased this countless times and will probably never give it up.
Shani Darden Renewal Eye Cream
Ugh. I have such mixed feelings about this. I have repurchased this twice now and love the product. It is the most effective eye cream I have ever used. Nothing has tackled my under eye bags and puffiness like this eye cream has. But I was finding that I was using it up weirdly quick. I opened this most recent bottle to see if there was any extra product I can scrape out and was so frustrated. The product is stored in an air tight sack so even when the pump stops dispensing product, there is still a ton left in the sack. I guess i can cut the sack open and depot the product (which I may end up doing because I love it so much) but it’s just a shame that it’s so pricey and hard to get all of the product out.
Refy Brow Sculpt
I loved this when I first started using it, but it had a very short lifespan. I maybe got to use it less than ten times before it got totally clumpy and unusable. I will not be repurchasing.
Kosas Lip Fuel
I am a lip balm junkie. I take my lip products very seriously! I love this lip balm and have repurchased a few times. It has a pleasant minty scent and leaves lips feeling hydrated and smooth. They recently released a CBD Lip Fuel and I love that even more so I’ll probably be purchasing that formula from now on!
Lux Unfiltered Self-Tanning Cream
If you can’t tone it, tan it lolz. This is my go-to self tanning product. After one use I have a light bronzed glow and after a few days of using consistently, I am looking like I’ve been baking in the sun! (minus the wrinkles) It blends easily, never looks splotchy and fades evenly. My only complaint is the rose scent but I just have beef with rose scents. They recently released this in a Santal scent so I’ll be trying that out next! .
Necessaire Bergamot Body Ritual
Necessaire has some of my favorite body products and their Bergamot scent is my top pick of all the scents they offer. Their body wash leaves my skin cleansed while still feeling quenched. And the sand-like exfoliator gently and effectively removes dead skin. I will 100% be repurchasing!
Reflekt 1 Daily Exfoliating Face Wash
This is a recent find and a new staple in my skincare routine. It is packed with skin loving ingredients like squalene, jojoba, vitamin B, and vegetable collagen. It leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean and the exfoliating jojoba beads are gentle enough to use daily. I have already repurchased a full size!
Skin Trip Coconut Moisturizer
If you’ve had your eye on the Summer Fridays Summer Skin Body Lotion but don’t love the price tag, you need to pick this up from your local Whole Foods! It smells identical and leaves your skin feeling smooth and hydrated. It’s a lot thinner of a formula but that just makes it super easy to blend out. I have repurchased this several times now!
Flamingo Hydrating Mist
I picked this up on a target run a few months ago and have been really enjoying it! I keep it my shower and after shave days, I towel off in the shower and spray this all over to lock in hydration. The smell is DIVINE. I will be repurchasing and want to try more from them especially if all their products smell like this one.
Saie Brow Butter
If you’re looking for a super natural brow product that will give you a light wash of color and volume, this is for you. If you’re on the hunt for something that will give you hold, I’d day pass on this one.
Supergoop Play SPF
I am a huge fan of the Supergoop body sunscreens and this mist is no exception. I also love their foam formula! I will for sure be repurchasing some more for the summer!
