#HOMEBODYAPPROVED 2021 FAVORITES: SKINCARE EDITION
Happy New Year, everyone!! I hope you all had a very happy holiday season and are staying safe out there. Not going to lie, 2021 was one of the most pivotal years of my life. There were definitely some losses and lows but it also brought me Homebody. This is going to sound dramatic, but this blog has changed my life for the better. I have made virtual friendships with wonderful people from across the globe and worked with some of my favorite brands. Without a doubt, Homebody is my top favorite find of the year 2021. Thank you all for continuing to read my blabbering about self care and all things cozy. I am eternally grateful for your support, messages, and kind words of encouragement. I can’t wait to see what 2022 has in store :)

Hello Skincare Lash Therapy
2021 brought me long luscious lashes thanks to this serum and for that, I am #blessed. I had pretty pitiful lashes and have wanted to love a lash serum but they all were filled with scary ingredients and irritated my sensitive eyes. This lash serum is ultra gentle but delivers amazing results. My lashes are fuller, darker and longer than ever!

Supernal Illumine Restorative Oil Serum
I started using this oil/serum combo later in the fall but they quickly rose to holy grail status. I use this serum at night along with the Cosmic Glow Oil and my skin DRINKS IT UP. It leaves my skin feeling soft, hydrated, plump and illuminating. It is completely non-comedogenic and perfect if you want the anti-aging benefits of Bakuchiol but have sensitive skin.
Tower 28 SOS Facial Spray
I spray this shit on everything. Not actually… I tend to keep it on my face but it is incredible for combatting that dreaded maskne! It is soothing for my sensitive skin and leaves me feeling hydrated and refreshed!
Tata Harper Illuminating Moisturizer
I am not a big lotion or cream moisturizer person. I definitely lean towards oils but this is by far my favorite moisturizer I have found. I top my Cosmic Glow Oil off with this and target it on my dry areas like my forehead and cheeks. It leaves my skin looking luminous and healthy!
MAKE Pink Matter Balm
BEST LIP BALM EVER. If you are a lip balm junkie like me, you need to try this out. It is crazy hydrating but doesn’t feel sticky. I keep it on my desk and bedside table and slather it on all day long.
BIBA Calming Zinc and Sulfer Mask
This is hands down my most used mask. I reach for it when my skin is feeling yucky and congested and it instantly sucks the gunk out of my pores and leaves my skin feeling bright and tight (in a good way). I use it as a spot treatment as well!
LightStim Acne Wand
I used to struggle with those HORRIBLE underground pimples that were just a huge red bump that felt like a bruise and never came to the surface. I finally figured out that I need to steer clear of pore clogging ingredients like coconut oil, algae extract, and shea butter whenever possible. Eliminating these ingredients and introducing this wand into my routine has greatly reduced the severity and amount of breakouts I have.
Tata Harper Lip Balm
Kinda makeup but also kinda skincare but here it is! I LOVE this lip balm. its ultra hydrating and leaves my lips with a juicy berry-ish tint. It claims to deliver fuller looking lips and I concur!!
Moon Juice Acid Potion
Chemical exfoliants kind of scare me but this one from Moon Juice is gentle on my reactive skin! I use it only twice a week but it helps keep my skin nice and smooth!!
Reflekt Daily Exfoliating Face Wash
This ain’t no Apricot Scrub that’ll completely tear your face to shreds. The exfoliating beads in this face wash are actually jojoba beads so they’re super gentle and hydrating to the skin. It smells fresh and clean and makes my skin feel incredible. I am on my 4th bottle of it and I am still obsessed!
Tata Harper Illuminating Eye Cream
Massive under eye bags have been passed down the Bornstein line for centuries… lucky me. Thankfully, I found this eye cream from Tata Harper and my eye bags have never looked better. This has a slight sheen to it, so my under eyes look bright and awake.
Shani Darden Eye Cream
I am high maintenance and have a night time eye cream and a day time eye cream. THE GIRLS WHO GET IT, GET IT, AND THE GIRLS WHO DON’T, DON’T! Like I mentioned, my under eye bags are a bit of an insecurity of mine. I always looked tired even though I sleep like it’s my job. I have been using this eye cream for basically all of 2021 and it is amazing. I use it at night and my under eye bags are looking lifted, shifted, higher than the ceiling!
MAKE Pre Cleanse Fluid
Makeup removing wipes are CANCELED! This is my favorite way to remove makeup (when I do wear makeup). It is gentle on my eyes and melts down makeup and spf with ease!
Tower 28 Sunny Days
Once again, kinda makeup but not. This is hands down my favorite SPF ever. It is reef safe, non-comedogenic, safe for sensitive skin and has a light tint so it evens out my skintone. I use the shade 20!!
