I am one nosey bitch when it comes to what people use on a daily basis. And if you’re anything like me, you want to know the staple products I use in my shower! Well, you nosey buggers, you’re in luck because today I am sharing my staple shower and post shower body care products, and a new hair care find that I think y’all will love!
Jupiter “Gotta Get” Set
The lovely team at Jupiter kindly sent me their bestselling shampoo and conditioner set and I am kinda hooked. I recently discovered that my scalp does not take kindly to highly fragranced products. I am a night showerer and I was finding that the base of my scalp would itch like crazy at night. I tried a few fragrance-free shampoos and conditioners that would alleviate the itch, but they didn’t do wonders for my actual hair. The “Gotta Get” set isn’t fragrance-free but it is free of artificial additives that can lead to irritation. There is a very light minty scent due to the Cornmint oil that penetrates beyond the scalp's surface, and it is able to stimulate the hair follicles and facilitate blood circulation to promote the growth of stronger and healthier hair. The shampoo and conditioner are jam-packed with nourishing ingredients like squalene, zinc, oatmeal and coconut oil to treat and repair the scalp. It leaves my hair feeling clean without any itch or irritation. If you have a sensitive scalp like me, you’ll love this line.
Crown Affair Hair Oil
I have been using this hair oil for a long time now and I can officially report that it is holy grail status. I have mentioned before that my roots get oily extremely fast but I still want some nourishment at my ends. This oil is thin enough that it doesn’t gunk up my roots, but rich enough to pack a punch at my ends. The smells is DIVINE and a little bit goes a very long way!
Natural Sponge Loofah
A little random but it’s an essential in my shower. Conventional loofahs are a bit too harsh on my skin but I still want a little exfoliation and to extend my body wash supply, so natural sponges are the way to go! Plus real sponges are naturally antibacterial and anti-fungal so they’ll last way longer than a regular loofah. I pick mine up from my local Whole Foods!
Crown Affair Hair Towel
Your hair is its most fragile fresh out of the shower. This microfiber hair towel is more gentle for your hair than a regular heavy-duty bath towel and lightweight enough that it won’t tug and pull on your scalp.
Lux Unfiltered Body Cream
Not all body lotions are created equally. And this body cream is superior. This is 100% the best body lotion I have ever tried. It rubs in easily but leaves this super soft and hydrated veil over the skin for legit 24 hours. It comes in Santal and fragrance free options so there is a perfect fit for everyone. This stuff is BOMB, trust me.
Billie Razor
It seems like every retailer is now offering subscription services and a lot of times it is a bit excessive. But this is a subscription service I can get behind. Razor refills at the store can run you close to $30, but with Billie it is $9 for 4 refill heads and YOU choose how often you need them. The razor itself is the cleanest shave I have found!
Reflekt Daily Exfoliating Face Wash
I’ve been raving about this facial wash since I first tried it and I don’t plan on ever stopping. It’s my perfect all around face wash. It’s gentle on the skin and eyes, exfoliating without being harsh, has a non-irritating smell and leaves my skin feeling clean and refreshed!
Crown Affair Renewal Mask
Tell me you’re obsessed with Crown Affair without telling me you’re obsessed with Crown Affair… I use this hair mask once a week and it is a total reset for my hair. Other hair masks feel like a glorified conditioner but this mask feels like a full-blown treatment. My hair looks and feels visibly different after using it.
